My Journey as a Guest of Malachite Travels & Tours
There are some journeys you take for the destination. Others become memorable because of the way you are welcomed, the experiences you share and the memories you create along the way.
My visit to Victoria Falls as a guest of Malachite Travels & Tours was one of those unforgettable experiences.
From the moment the journey began, there was a sense that this was going to be more than an ordinary holiday. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, allowing me to relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about the details.
The First Sight of Victoria Falls
Nothing quite prepares you for your first encounter with Victoria Falls.
As we approached the Falls, the sound of the water became louder. Then, through the trees, the spray appeared above the rainforest.
And suddenly, there it was.
The mighty Zambezi River plunging into the gorge below.
Standing there and watching millions of litres of water thunder over the edge was truly humbling. The mist rising from the Falls created beautiful rainbows, while the sound of the water seemed to surround us.
It was one of those moments where you simply stop, look and appreciate where you are.
More Than Just the Falls
What made the experience particularly special was discovering that Victoria Falls is so much more than a spectacular waterfall.
With Malachite Travels & Tours, the visit became an opportunity to experience the destination from different perspectives.
From exploring the rainforest and viewing the Falls from different viewpoints to enjoying the atmosphere of the town, every part of the journey offered something different.
And then there was the mighty Zambezi River.
Standing beside one of Africa’s great rivers and watching the water flow towards the Falls gave the whole experience an even greater sense of adventure.
The Malachite Experience
One of the things I appreciated most about travelling as a guest of Malachite Travels & Tours was the attention to detail.
The experience felt personal.
There was someone to guide us, answer our questions, recommend experiences and make sure that we were comfortable throughout the journey.
Instead of worrying about where to go, what to see or how to organise everything, we could simply enjoy the destination.
That is what a great travel company should do — take care of the journey so that you can concentrate on creating memories.
A Place You Want to Return To
As our visit came to an end, I realised that Victoria Falls is one of those destinations that leaves you wanting more.
Perhaps next time it will be a sunset cruise on the Zambezi.
Perhaps a wildlife safari.
Perhaps an adrenaline-filled adventure.
Or simply another opportunity to stand beside the Falls and hear the roar of the Zambezi.
Whatever it is, I know one thing:
